The People's Work

If you haven't been paying attention to news from New York for the past couple of weeks no one would blame you. But let me give you a quick rundown. Republicans in the State Senate managed to get a couple of Democrats to join them and took control of the Senate. As you might imagine, Democrats are not pleased. The last two weeks has consisted of games, schemes and downright silliness as they struggle for control some of which is reported by CBS2 in New York.

Unfortunately, this is a microcosm of what most of our government has turned into. It's not about our elected representatives looking out for what is best for their constituents or the country. It is about the struggle for power one's party.

If you read this blog often you know what I'm going to say next. It's our fault because we allow it. I don't care which party my representatives belong to, if it becomes clear that is where their allegiance lies I will not vote for them again. We have to make them change or change them ourselves.
