Really Fuzzy Math

The Obama administration now says they've "saved or created" 3.5 million jobs. I'm not going to go all the way through the whole "we can't measure something that didn't happen" argument. There is no way to say how many jobs have been "saved".

I could point out that this not an actual counting of jobs but based on bogus projections of how much economic activity government spending generates. It's really not necessary to get that technical. The government's own numbers at recovery.gov (and even these are suspect) is more in the range of 600,000 jobs and somewhere in the neighborhood of 80% of these jobs were government jobs.

The administration knows their plan is not working yet instead of changing direction they try to spin their failures into successes. The only conclusion that can be drawn is that they really don't care about the results (or who has a job) at all.
