Afraid To Speak The Truth

In case you are not aware, plans have been approved to build a $100 million mosque two blocks from Ground Zero in New York City. There has been much outcry from people who are offended by this apparent nose-thumbing. Most public figures, however, have given the obligatory politically correct responses. Rudy Giuliana actually had the courage to say what he thinks:

It sends a particularly bad message, particularly (because) of the background of the imam who is supporting this. This is an Imam who has supported radical causes, who has not been forthright in condemning Islamic (terrorism) and the worst instincts that that brings about.

“So it not only is exactly the wrong place, right at ground zero, but it’s a mosque supported by an imam who has a record of support for causes that were sympathetic with terrorism. Come on! We’re gonna allow that at ground zero?

“This is a desecration,” he added. “Nobody would allow something like that at Pearl Harbor. Let’s have some respect for who died there and why they died there. Let’s not put this off on some kind of politically correct theory.

“I mean, they died there because of Islamic extremist terrorism. They are our enemy, we can say that, the world will not end when we say that. And the reality is, it will not and should not insult any decent Muslim because decent Muslims should be as opposed to Islamic extremism as you and I are.”

He is exactly right. The Muslims who portray themselves as "decent Muslims" but secretly support the extremists cause have a plan to bring about Sharia Law not only in America but for the entire globe. There are many more of these people working hard in our country than most of us have any awareness.

They know that our culture of being politically correct and striving to avoid offending anyone will lead us to quietly take whatever they dish out. We'll make allowances and give concessions until we have not recourse left. We must understand that Islam is not like any other religion.

Whereas others seek converts by proselytizing and teaching, many Islamic leaders believe the world should be subjugated to the religion by force. What better way to have a symbolic victory than to build a mosque near the site of the "greatest victory" of extreme Islam in America?
