Answering The Talking Points

The LA Times has a story today headlined "Democratic candidates all but ignore their legislative successes". That would be because the Democratic party is the only entity that sees the past two years as any sort of success. This means they know most of the country is against what they are doing yet they persevere because they know better than you what is good for you.

As for the awesome YouTube videos of average citizens befuddling the elected with logic, Democrats wish to minimize those. As the Times points out, "Democrats are seeking alternative venues such as teleconference town hall meetings that are easier to control." Meaning they don't want to be accountable to you, the voter. It is a coward that will not face the people his legislation affects.

After two years of Democrat rule--total control in both houses and the presidency--they are still running against George W. Bush. Robert Menendez, a senator from New Jersey, is quoted as saying, "The question for 2010 is: Whose side are you on?" The Senator is wrong. The actual question is not pointed at the voter but at the Congress: Whose side are you on? Mine or your party?

President Obama's teleprompter got cute last week as also reported in the Times story. He said, "When you get in the car and you want to go forward, what do you do? You put it in 'D'. When you go back what do you do? You put it in 'R'." What the citizenry recognize is when you're car has it's front two wheels hanging off a cliff, "R" is the correct choice.
